Fundraising is a dedicated group effort.
Our generous supporters range from major donors to first-time $40 contributors; from corporate sponsors to members of our Patrons Circles; from individuals giving in memoriam to those leaving a legacy gift for the future. Every single gift matters and makes a difference.

Philanthropist Joey Tanenbaum explains his generous, steadfast support of the ROM: “When I first walked into the Museum as a young boy, it opened the world to me and changed my life. That sense of wonder and discovery unfolds with every single visit (and I’ve had many!). The ROM always reveals something new. I’m honoured to cherish and support it.”

The ROM continues to stimulate the imagination of more than 1.35 million annual visitors today. And the ROM Governors draw on that inspiration as we engage the community to support our Museum. Last year was one of the ROM’s most successful ever. The powerful expression of community support was evidenced in contributions of almost $20 million: 50% more than last year, 30% higher than our goal, and the most raised since 2009.

The power of philanthropy is the lifeblood of our Museum. Our contributors enable initiatives in outreach, learning, technology, and exploration. In fact, the defining hallmarks of the ROM, one of the world’s leading 21st-century museums, are made possible by our donors’ generous loyalty and patronage.

Vital community contributions have the capacity and potential to shape the future of the ROM, so that the Museum can continue to—in Joey Tanenbaum’s words—“open the world” for our visitors, today and tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing in our commitment, and for your inspired support of your Museum.

Sincerely,
