When blue falls in to the ocean
Join artist Jessica Karuhanga for When blue falls in to the ocean, a captivating performance supporting the ROM original exhibition Here We are Here: Black Canadian Contemporary Art.
Blue is a feeling swirling somewhere between violet and green. The blues are bound up in a distant imaginary wilderness and yet they leak everywhere.
When blue falls in to the ocean is a series of poetic movements and text that meditate on the story, spectres and the contours of the stage.
Jessica Karuhanga is an artist working through video, movement and drawing. She has presented her work at the Onsite Gallery, Toronto (2018), Art Museum at University of Toronto (2017), Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto (2016) and Goldsmiths, London (2016).
